Will donating my eggs have an impact on my ability to conceive in the future?
6 Kasım 2021What are the dangers of donating eggs?
Because egg donation is a medical operation, infection is always a chance, just like any other type of surgery. Throughout the process, staff will be present in the room with the donors, and antibiotics will be administered through an I.V. to help prevent infection. To further lessen this risk, donors should also rest and follow all post-procedural instructions.
Another uncommon complication of egg donation is ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), which happens when the ovaries overstimulate with medicines. The ovaries are not habituating to produce many eggs during a typical monthly cycle, but during an egg donation cycle, all of the eggs that are ovulation available to stimulate. After the ovarian follicles are empty, the body will refill the fluid.
Another risk of egg donation is the risk of pregnancy, which has nothing to do with the process. Our nurse injects hormones into donors’ ovarian follicles to activate them while cycling. These drugs work in the same way that fertility drugs do, so you’ll be incredibly fertile while on them. If you have intercourse, your chances of getting pregnant and having many infants increase. We advise that all donors refrain from sexual activity for the 10-14 days they are on the medicine and until their next menstrual cycle after retrieval (this will be about a five-week period). During a cycle, the cycle will end if a donor becomes pregnant,
